On the side, however, he performed experiments of his own with diseases long thought to be extinct in the modern world, such as the black plague, along with some more obscure afflictions that may have had ties with the myths of vampirism and lycanthropy, for this he was approached at the age of 30 - four years after graduating and beginning his practice - by a Foundation agent, asking if he would be interested in signing on for their research department. He graciously accepted and has been working diligently for the Foundation for the past 5 years.
