*drops the last belt segment into place*
Getting a few new arrivals set for baseline use by security forces. A little pre-adjustment keeps the people that operate them from having to make a bunch of extreme-████ adjustments when they zero them in for personal use.

Re: Firing Range
*taps the collapsible M4-style buttstock of the M249 closest to him, then points at the short barrel*
Para configuration. Well, sorta. Replaced the fixed gas systems with the old ones. Tappets inside of the old style let the operator adjust rate of gas transfer back from a round that's just been fired. In a dirty weapon, it can help blow through some grime in the internals if it's a little dirty. In a clean weapon, max setting will up the rate of fire.

More situational"? I don't follow.

*Walks in towards the group* "Hey guys, how's everyone doing?" *Looks at the 249* "Hey, paratrooper variant....Haven't seen one of these since Restrepo."

Re: Firing Range
No, not at all. I just busy myself with training exercises, operational guidelines, deployments, and, well, actual work. From the looks of last week, it seems the best most of the rest of the personnel here can manage to do is get drunk and pass out like a bunch of 21-year-olds who can't hold their liquor. Sites are dry for a reason. You get shitty and something pops off, you're worthless in recovery of the situation.

Re: Firing Range
*chuckles* true. They got me grounded until they can get a shrink in, which should be next week. After that, I should be cleared for deployments. Sites are supposed to be dry, but you'd be surprised how liquor gets in the most auspicious of places.

Marcus enters the shooting range and grabs a standard issue M4 off the wall. He enters a shooting lane and begins firing at targets.

Marcus brings the target back after emptying the clip. He examines the target to see that he group a majority of the shots in the chest, with a few stray bullets piercing the head.

Marcus looks back, switching the safety on his M4 and ejecting the magazine before turning to greet Neko, "Thanks. Might I ask who you are?"

"Wow, how formal." Neko smirks, returning the handshake. "And you follow all the protocols, all to well. Might I ask how strict the SAS is?"

"Latin... Who dares wins... right?" Neko's has somewhat of a puzzled face. This obviously isn't his forte. He then smiles, "I can see the training in you."

Marcus gives a small salute, "Thank you Mr. Neko. Loyal servant of the Queen til the day I die."
